In one study, 20 obese females were split up into two groups. One group of 10 was given a placebo while consuming a 1,000-calorie diet for 3 weeks; the other 10 subjects were given yohimbine along with the same diet regimen. The supplement was additionally studied in elite soccer players. It was recorded that the supplement decreased body fat by 1.8% over three weeks. The placebo group did not experience these results.
